Participative 360° panoramic projection commemorating the 9th of October 1989 Peaceful Revolution in Leipzig
Our site specific installation was based on archive footages and photographs, documents and iconic images from ‘89. A 360 degree panoramic video montage was projected from the center of the fountain on Augustusplatz but there were no preconstructed canvases or surfaces to see the image. Instead handed out hundreds of semi-transparent banners to the spectators and invited them to find the fragments of the historic moments themselves. While one can only make a small portion of the image visible -by cooperating- people will be able to see the bigger picture together, uniting once more in a peaceful demonstration, remembering those who stood up for freedom and democracy.
