Exploration of an industrial ruin
“Cavity” is a site specific immersive light installation set within one of Inota Powerplant’s hollow remains. Glowing Bulbs’ latest piece draws inspiration from the cavernous spaces and lonely monsters of the area, which are filled with emptiness, this experience beckons visitors on a meditative journey into the heart of darkness. Enveloped in a floating architectural web of LED tubes in which interplay of light and shadows creates an illusion of boundless space, evoking the sensation of a vast, luminescent volume. Echoing the form of the empty, previously functional skeleton of the building, the space is reinterpreted. Pulsating like a giant abstract heart, it once again fills the void -defined by the bare walls- with life.
